How do I list graded Pokémon cards on eBay?
Direct answer
List a graded Pokémon card with the condition Graded and fill in the grading company, the grade and the cert number, then put the company and grade in the title and show the label sharply in the first photo. Price it from listings with the same company and grade, not from the raw price. NeoSatoshi reads company, grade and cert number from PSA, BGS and CGC labels and fills these fields in eBay Direct Listing. The eBay CSV draft does not keep them.
What a good slab listing contains
- Title: card name, number, set, language if not English, company and grade, for example Charizard ex 199/165 151 PSA 10.
- Condition: Graded, with grading company, grade and cert number. Buyers filter by them.
- First photo: the whole slab with a readable label, without glare. Add the back of the slab.
- Language and print: a Japanese PSA 10 and an English PSA 10, or a reverse holo and a normal print, are different items.
How to price a slab
- Cardmarket and TCGplayer prices are for raw cards and say little about a graded copy.
- Compare the same company and the same grade. A PSA 10 and a BGS 10 are different markets, and so are a PSA 10 and a PSA 9.
- Look at sold listings as well as active ones. Active listings show asking prices only.
- Thin markets swing, so treat a median of a few listings as a rough guide.
The fast way with NeoSatoshi
- Upload photos or scans of your slabs. There is no separate mode, and raw cards can sit in the same batch.
- Company, grade and cert number are read from the label. Check the grade chip in the table and click it to correct anything.
- Check the eBay (graded) column, which loads by itself. It shows the median of active Buy It Now listings of the same card with the same company and grade, on your eBay site first, then on up to two of eBay.com, eBay.co.uk and eBay.de.
- Enter your own price where there is none. It is required before the export.
- Publish with eBay Direct Listing (Business plan or higher). The slab goes out as Graded with company, grade and cert number, and the slab photo comes first.
Common mistakes
- Using the eBay CSV and forgetting that the draft loses company, grade and cert number. Add them in Seller Hub.
- Pricing a slab from the raw Cardmarket price.
- Treating a PSA 9 and a BGS 9 as the same thing.
- Photographing the label with glare, so that neither buyers nor the scanner can read the grade.
- Writing a grade into the title of a raw card. Only a slab has a grade.
What NeoSatoshi does not do here
- It does not estimate a grade or check authenticity, and it does not verify the cert number.
- It does not read labels of other companies such as SGC or TAG. You set company, grade and price yourself.
- It has no sold prices for slabs, only active eBay listings.
- The daily price sync never changes a slab, so its price stays what you set.
Frequently asked questions
Can a slab go to Shopify or Cardmarket too?
Yes. Shopify gets an own product per slab with graded metafields. Cardmarket has no field for graded cards, so the TCGPowerTools CSV lists a slab as a normal single with the grade at the start of its comment.
Does this work for other games?
Yes. See slabs across all six games, and graded Magic cards.
Should I grade the card first?
Often not. See when a Pokémon card is worth grading.
