How do I sync my Shopify and eBay card prices with Cardmarket automatically?

Direct answer

You need a tool that reads Cardmarket prices every day and applies your pricing rule (source, markup, minimum price, rounding) to your live listings. In NeoSatoshi this is the automated price sync, on the Business plan or higher: at 12:00 Zurich time on your schedule it updates the prices of the cards you listed through NeoSatoshi on Shopify and eBay, from the Cardmarket 30-day average (the default), trend, 7-day average or low, or from TCGplayer; eBay can also follow your Shopify price. It changes the price only, converts into your store or eBay marketplace currency at the daily ECB rate and skips every card it cannot price safely.

This page describes the price sync as it works in October 2026. Every setting named below is the label you see in NeoSatoshi.

What sellers mean by a Cardmarket price sync

It is not about listing on Cardmarket. It means keeping the prices in your own Shopify store and on eBay tied to the Cardmarket market price, so a card that rises does not sell too cheap and a card that falls does not sit unsold for months. For a European shop, Cardmarket is the price buyers compare against, so it is the natural anchor. Listing on Cardmarket itself is a separate job, usually done with a TCGPowerTools import file.

Why so many repricing tools use TCGplayer prices

TCGplayer is the main singles marketplace in the US and its market price is the US reference. Many repricing tools for card shops come from the US market and are built on TCGplayer data. For example, the Shopify App Store listing of Synq TCG Manager says it is powered by the TCGplayer catalog and converts daily TCGplayer prices into your store currency (as of October 2026, check their listing for current details).

For a shop that sells to European buyers that is the wrong anchor. The same card can cost noticeably more or less in the US than in Europe, because supply, demand and shipping differ. Converting a USD price into EUR or CHF does not turn it into a European market price. That is why NeoSatoshi offers both: Cardmarket for European shops and eBay sites, TCGplayer for USD markets such as eBay.com.

How the NeoSatoshi price sync works

  1. You list cards on Shopify or eBay through NeoSatoshi. Each listing carries the card identity (set, number, language, finish, edition), so the sync knows exactly which card and printing it is.
  2. Cardmarket and TCGplayer prices are refreshed once a day in the morning, Central European time. They can be up to a day behind the Cardmarket website.
  3. At 12:00 Zurich time the sync runs on your schedule: daily, weekly or every N days.
  4. For every eligible listing it takes the price from your source, applies your markup or price ranges, raises anything below your minimum price, applies your rounding and converts into the currency of the listing.
  5. It writes the new price and nothing else. Stock, titles, descriptions and images are never touched, nothing is re-scanned and no card scans are used.
  6. The card in Settings shows the last run with a summary (updated, skipped, checked) and the next run.

The settings

  • Price source: Cardmarket 30-day average (the default), Cardmarket trend, Cardmarket 7-day average, Cardmarket low, or TCGplayer (US market, USD). On eBay there is one more: Shopify price (follows your shop).
  • Markup (%): a percentage added to the source price. With the Shopify price as source a negative markup is allowed, for example minus 5 for 5 percent below your Shopify price.
  • Price ranges: "Use price ranges instead of one markup" sets a different markup per price range, for example more on cheap cards and less on expensive singles. A price outside every range keeps its market value.
  • Minimum price: no card is priced below it. For eBay, the minimum price and the price ranges are entered in EUR and converted into each marketplace currency. eBay also has its own minimum per site (0.99 or 1.00).
  • Rounding: none, up or down to a full unit, nearest 0.10, end in .90, .99 or .49 / .99, or whole amounts ending in 9 or in 5 or 9.
  • Frequency: daily, weekly or every N days, always at 12:00 Zurich time.
  • eBay only: an optional e-mail after each run that lists eBay listings that could not be matched to a card, for example because the SKU was edited. Their price is never changed.

Which Cardmarket price to use

  • 30-day average: the steadiest. Short spikes barely move it. A good default for most singles.
  • 7-day average and trend: follow the market faster. Useful for new sets and cards whose price is moving.
  • Low: follows the cheapest current offers. The most aggressive choice; on cards with few offers one cheap copy can pull your price down, so always combine it with a minimum price.
  • TCGplayer: for USD marketplaces such as eBay.com. Check the result before using it for a European shop.

Currency conversion

On eBay every marketplace gets its own currency, for example CHF on eBay.ch, GBP on eBay.co.uk and USD on eBay.com. In Shopify prices are written in your store currency. Source prices are converted at the daily ECB exchange rate. If no rate is available that day, the Shopify run is skipped and nothing changes; the next run tries again.

Which listings the sync leaves alone

The sync never guesses a price. A listing stays unchanged when:

  • it is sold out (quantity 0);
  • it was not created through NeoSatoshi, or its eBay SKU (custom label) was edited, so it cannot be matched to a card;
  • you typed its price by hand in the NeoSatoshi eBay Direct Listing step;
  • it is a special version such as a stamped or promo card;
  • it is a Lorcana foil copy and the source has no foil price for it;
  • it is a First Edition card without a First Edition price (when one exists it is used, never the cheaper normal price);
  • the source has no current price for the card;
  • the Shopify product is not active.

Reverse holos are priced from the reverse holo price, not from the normal card.

Set it up in six steps

  1. Make sure you are on the Business plan or higher. On Free and Start-Up the price sync card shows a Business plan badge.
  2. Connect the channel in Settings, Integrations: eBay with at least one active marketplace, or your Shopify store with Shopify Direct Listing activated. The Shopify app is also in the Shopify App Store.
  3. List your cards through NeoSatoshi with Direct Listing. Only these listings are synced.
  4. Open the eBay or the Shopify tab, find "Automated price sync" and click "Configure".
  5. Choose the price source, markup or price ranges, minimum price, rounding and frequency, then click "Preview" to see old and new prices for a sample of cards without changing anything.
  6. Switch on "Enable automatic price updates" and click "Save". The first run happens at the next 12:00 Zurich time. "Run now" writes the new prices immediately after a confirmation and cannot be undone automatically.

The built-in AI assistant can also prepare a changed rule (source, markup or price ranges, minimum price, rounding, frequency) with a before and after preview. Nothing is saved until you click apply, and it never switches the sync on or off.

Pitfalls

  • Not saving. The switch only takes effect after "Save". A "Paused" badge means the schedule is off.
  • Played cards. The sync does not adjust for condition yet. A played card it manages goes back to the full market price at the next run. On eBay, type the price of played cards by hand in the Direct Listing step to protect it.
  • Editing prices in eBay Seller Hub. Only prices typed in the NeoSatoshi eBay Direct Listing step are protected. A price changed directly on eBay is overwritten at the next run. "Include hand-set prices again" puts protected listings back under the rule, and that cannot be undone.
  • Cardmarket low on thin markets. Use a minimum price, or a slower source for rare cards.
  • Counting a markup twice. The Shopify price as eBay source is not available while your Shopify price sync is on, because both markups would stack.
  • Expecting stock sync. The price sync only changes prices. Stock is not synced between Shopify and eBay yet, so a card listed on both can sell twice.

What NeoSatoshi does and does not do

  • It keeps Shopify and eBay prices of cards you listed through NeoSatoshi in line with daily Cardmarket or TCGplayer prices, and can let eBay follow your Shopify prices.
  • It uses one rule per channel: one for eBay (covering all your active eBay marketplaces) and one for Shopify.
  • It does not reprice listings you created by hand or with another tool.
  • It does not change prices on Cardmarket itself. NeoSatoshi reaches Cardmarket through the TCGPowerTools CSV, and TCGPowerTools has its own pricing for your Cardmarket stock.
  • It does not use eBay sold prices. The eBay median price you can load at listing time is based on asking prices of active listings, and it is not a sync source.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Shopify app that syncs card prices with Cardmarket?

Yes. NeoSatoshi is in the Shopify App Store as NeoSatoshi TCG Sync. Listing to Shopify and the daily Cardmarket based price sync need the Business plan or higher.

How often are prices updated?

At most once a day, at 12:00 Zurich time, after the morning price refresh. You can also choose weekly or every N days.

Can my eBay prices follow my Shopify prices?

Yes. Choose "Shopify price (follows your shop)" as the eBay price source. eBay then takes the price of your Shopify variant, converts it and adds your markup, which may be negative. This is useful when another tool, for example TCGPowerTools, already sets your Shopify prices.

Will the sync overwrite a price I set myself?

Not if you typed it in the NeoSatoshi eBay Direct Listing step: those listings are excluded. Prices changed directly in eBay or Shopify are overwritten at the next run unless the listing is in one of the skipped groups.

Does the price sync cost card scans?

No. It does not re-scan anything and uses no card scans.
